Genital and pelvic actinimycosis is a rare disease but more common among IUD users than others.
Pelvic actinomycosis is characterized by granulomatous suppurative lesions in affected organs and secondarily formed tuboovarian abscess.
The presentations are varied: persistent vaginal discharge is the most common presenting complaint followed by pelvic pain, menstrual upset, pelvic mass and fever.
We experienced a case of the actinomycosis of uterine cervix in IUD wearer and report with a brief review of literatures.
